Same-Sex Wedding Films: Four Couples, Four Very Different Days

Four real same-sex weddings I have filmed, from a barn in Essex to a polo club in London. Every couple gets the same thing from me: their own story, told properly.

Same-Sex Wedding Films: Four Couples, Four Very Different Days | Louis Charles Dalton

I never wanted “LGBTQ+ friendly” to be a badge on my website. The work should make the point instead. So here are four real same-sex weddings I have filmed, with the films to watch.

Four couples, four films

Sophie & Andria married at Gaynes Park in Essex, and their trailer has been watched more than 82,000 times. Newton & Daniel chose Ham Polo Club in London for a ceremony with real tradition behind it.

Adam & Romesh celebrated at Shendish Manor Hotel, and the Baker-Re wedding film has passed 45,000 views. Four completely different days, four completely different films.

What you should expect from any videographer

The same thing every couple deserves: someone who films the two of you as you actually are, asks about the moments that matter to you specifically, and never imposes a template the day was not built on.

Wedding film conventions were written around one kind of couple. I would rather start from your day and work outwards: who is walking in with whom, which traditions you are keeping, which ones you are gladly leaving out.

Planning your day?

Watch the films above, then send your date through the contact page. Whoever you are marrying, the brief is the same: a film that feels like the two of you.
