One Team for Photo and Video: Why Couples Book Both Together

Separate photographer and videographer, or one team for both? The honest case for combined coverage, with real numbers and a real wedding to judge it by.

The most common planning mistake I see is treating photography and videography as two unrelated purchases. Two suppliers, two contracts, two strangers meeting for the first time at your ceremony, both needing the same shot at the same moment.

There is a simpler way to do it, and it happens to cost less.

What one team changes

When the photographer and videographer plan together, nobody fights for the aisle. Angles are agreed in advance, the couple portraits serve both crafts in one session, and the photographs and film come back feeling like one story told twice.

Gary & Micia’s wedding at Château Naudou is the best example in my portfolio. Lauren and I covered photo and video side by side: 630 edited photographs and a trailer that has passed 124,000 views, from one team that never once got in its own way.

The numbers

Booked separately with me, all day videography at £825 and full day photography at £999 comes to £1,824. The combined Silver package, which is the most popular booking I take, is £1,649 for both.

Combined packages start at £1,549, and the Gold tier with two photographers and two videographers is £2,849. Every tier includes drone coverage, a feature film and trailer, 600 plus edited photographs and a digital album. Live prices are always on the packages page.

When separate suppliers make sense

Honesty corner: if you have already fallen in love with a particular photographer’s work, book them. A wedding is not the place to compromise on taste, and I regularly work alongside other photographers without drama.

But if you are starting from scratch and want both, look at combined coverage first. One conversation, one team, one style, and a few hundred pounds back in the budget.
